Our burger is made from 50% ground chicken breast and 50% ground beef, giving you the best burger experience with only half the guilt.
But how do we do it? Well, today, we’ll tell you exactly how we make our burgers taste as delicious as it is. Ready?
Step 1: Start with the patty
A good burger is nothing without a good patty. So, it’s important to keep in mind that choosing the best ingredients for your patty is the key component to making it taste good.
Our masterminds at THIS Burger use a mix of fresh ground chicken breast and ground beef for our patty.
Not only does this give the patty a unique taste, but it also makes the patty the healthier option compared to other burgers out there.
Step 2: Season light and season well
Our people at THIS Burger don’t believe in additives and extenders (or TVP, as they’re more commonly known) and with good reason. TVP was banned in Europe because of its effects on the nervous system and on children’s hyperactivity.
So, the only condiments that go in a THIS Burger patty is salt and pepper – yes, just salt and pepper, no ketchup or any other condiment whatsoever. This allows the natural flavors of the beef and chicken to come out.
While it might seem weird to not have ketchup in a burger, we believe that ketchup (or any similar condiment) masks the bland taste of TVP in patties, which is why some burger joints add so much or offer ketchup on the side.
To prove that our patty is all-natural beef and chicken, we removed condiments from our restaurant all together (but you’re welcome to bring your own).
Step 3: Start cooking!
This is the most exciting part of the whole process – cooking the burger! At THIS Burger, we stick to the best method and flame-grill our patties.
This gives the patties a smoky flavor and that lovely sear that everyone loves to see on a patty.
Step 4: THIS Burger, assemble!
For the final touch, we only use the freshest ingredients to go along with our fresh and juicy patty.
While there are the normal ingredients you see in a burger like tomato, lettuce, and onions, THIS Burger sticks to its roots and uses pandesal for its buns.
This gives the burger that sweet, familiar taste – almost something like your mother’s home cooking.
Step 5: Time to dig in!
Now comes the much-awaited part of the process: eating the burger! Biting into a THIS Burger will leave you speechless as it packs a punch in what looks like a simple and humble burger.
